“To talk” or “Not to-talk” ? A security harm than good

I sometimes find myself with burning topics to write about, at times I develop such articles and then before I publish, my security mind tells me “Are you sure you re not going to be educating an attacker?” and in response, I end up pulling down the article.

But then these information are all over the internet! Most of the time, an attacker does more research on security than ethical people; there are many ethical people who will not likely research or get information on the various tricks of an attacker unless they, or someone they know have just been hacked or they are working on an assignment that compels them to. But then, if I censure my posts, can I censure millions of related posts all over the internet? Also, if I or every other publishers of Security Information begin to censure our posts just to keep information away from the attackers, we are doing more harm than good.

Physical security allows us to easily control access to information; how about having a trust system on the internet? This seems to be a difficult thing to do at this time, the more realistic thing to do therefore is to keep educating the readers on the tricks of the attackers and how they can protect themselves in this inter-connected world because attackers / hackers already know more!
